Tuco-tuco
A mestranda Thamara de Almeida, do Laboratório de Citogenética e Evolução (UFRGS), e que também foi nossa aluna no curso de Filmagem nas Áreas Científicas, mostra um pouco da sua interessante pesquisa de mestrado nesse vídeo. A sua pesquisa busca responder se as áreas de proteção atuais são efetivas para a conservação do Tuco-tuco (Ctenomys lami), uma espécie de roedor fundamental para os ecossistemas costeiros do sul do país. Hoje, mais do que nunca, é fundamental divulgar esse tipo de estudo que visa conhecer mais e preservar nossas espécies e meio ambiente. Master student Thamara de Almeida, from the Laboratory of Cytogenetics and Evolution (UFRGS), and also our student during the course in Scientific Filmmaking, shows in this video some of her interesting research. Her study seeks to answer whether current protected areas are effective for the conservation of the Tuco-tuco (Ctenomys lami), a key rodent specie for the southern coastal ecosystems of Brazil. Today, more than ever, it is essential to advertise studies that aims to better understand and preserve our species and environment.
