Taquile Island - Lake Titicaca
Taquile is an island located on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca, 45 km offshore from the city of Puno, and is home to about 2,200 people, called Taquileños. There are boats departing from Puno to the island several times a day. There, you can choose to overnight in a family home and enjoy more what the island has to offer, or take the boat back in the end of the day. Taquile is definitely a place to visit and learn more from the local traditions and culture.
Taquile é uma ilha localizada no lado peruano do Lago Titicaca, a 45 km da cidade de Puno, e abriga cerca de 2.200 pessoas, chamadas Taquileños. Há barcos que partem de Puno para a ilha várias vezes ao dia. Lá, você pode optar por passar a noite em uma casa de família e aproveitar mais o que a ilha tem a oferecer, ou pegar um barco de volta no final do dia. Taquile é definitivamente um lugar para visitar e aprender mais sobre as tradições e a cultura local.
