Lesser spotted eagle
The Lesser spotted eagle (Clanga pomarina) is an Eastern European bird of prey found also in the Middle East and Eastern Africa during winter time. Its considered a medium-sized eagle, reaching lengths of 60 cm and wingspan of 150 cm. It's often found in open or light vegetated landscapes, where it hunts small mammals and other terrestrial preys. This magnificent individual was photographed early in the morning at the south of Kruger National Park, South Africa.
A Águia pomerana (Clanga pomarina) é uma ave de rapina do leste Europeu que também é encontrada no Oriente Médio e no leste do continente Africano durante o inverno. É considerada uma águia de médio porte, atingindo 60 cm de comprimento e envergadura de asas de 150 cm. É freqüentemente encontrado em paisagens abertas com pouca ou alguma vegetação, onde preda pequenos mamíferos e outras presas terrestres. Este lindo indivíduo foi fotografado no início da manhã no sul do Parque Nacional Kruger, na África do Sul.
