Gatherers

There are still people in the world who needs to fish, hunt and gather food to be able to eat every day. In many countries, this is still a reality and people depend on nature to find what to eat. The man in the photo, was hunting for some fish and birds in the wetlands around one of the projects I have worked in Mozambique. Here, he was walking along a water channel and looking for movements in the water. After I took the photo, he turned to me and greeted: "boa tarde! (good afternoon!)". I greeted back and asked if he managed to get some fish today. He said: "Yes! I have enough fish today to feed my whole family!".

Ainda existem muitas pessoas no nosso Planeta que dependem da caça e da pesca para poderem comer. Em muitos países, esse fato é ainda uma realidade e essas pessoas são dependentes da natureza ao seu redor para se alimentar. O homem da foto estava pescando e também caçando pássaros nos banhados ao redor de um dos projetos que eu participei em Moçambique. Aqui, ele estava caminhando ao longo do canal d'água e observando os movimentos de possíveis peixes. Depois que tirei a foto, o homem se virou e me comprimento dizendo: "Boa tarde!". I compartimentei de volta e perguntei se ele tinha pego algum peixe. Ele disse: "Sim! Hoje tenho peixe suficiente para alimentar toda minha família!".
