Cliffs of Vík
Vík í Mýrdal is the southernmost sea front village in Iceland, located on the main ring road around the island, around 180 km by road southeast of Reykjavík. The village is an important place for locals and tourists as it is one of the only places that offer services and supplies in between Skógar and the west edge of the Mýrdalssandur glacial outwash plain. Near the village you can find some popular tourist sites as the peninsula of Dyrhólaey, the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, and the breathtaking views from the plato and its cliffs just at the edge of the village.

O vilarejo é um lugar estratégico para os habitantes locais e turistas, pois é um dos únicos locais que oferecem serviços e suprimentos entre Skógar e a planície glacial de Mýrdalssandur.
