Carica Papaya
Who doesn't know papaya (Carica Papaya)? This plant specie is native to tropical regions of the Americas, more precisely the countries of Central America, and is today one of the most produced fruit species in the world. It bears fruit all year round given the ideal climatic conditions. There are several varieties of papayas that differs on shape, colour and taste. Its fruit is rich in lycopene, vitamin C and other important minerals for our body. And the more ripe the fruit, the greater the concentration of these nutrients. This plant in the photo is one of several plants growing in my garden!
Quem não conhece o mamão (Carica Papaya)? Essa espécie que é nativa de regiões tropicais das Américas, mais precisamente dos países da America Central, é hoje uma das espécies de frutas mais produzidas no mundo. Ela frutifica o ano todo dadas as condições climáticas ideais. Existem diversas variedades de mamão e as mais conhecidas no Brasil são o mamão papaia, o mamão formosa e o mamão-macho. Seu fruto é rico em licopeno, vitamina C e outros minerais importantes para o nosso organismo. E, quanto mais maduro o fruto, maior a concentração desses nutrientes. Essa planta da foto é uma das várias plantas crescendo no meu jardim!
