Balearic Islands
Near Port de Pollença, northeast of Mallorca, there’s this place that‘s one of my favorite spots on the island. The contrast between the mountains and the sea is what makes this place so special. Unfortunately, the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca) are suffering with the impacts of tourism, which is heavily impacting the island‘s environment and natural resources. As tourists, we must remember that we are only passing by, but there are people and many other beings that depend on the place we are only visiting. Remember to always leave the place as you found it. Always take your garbage back and never destroy nor stresss native species and landscapes.
Perto de Port de Pollença, a nordeste de Maiorca, existe um lugar que é um dos meus favoritos na ilha. O contraste entre as montanhas e o mar é o que torna este lugar tão especial. Infelizmente, as Ilhas Baleares (Ibiza, Maiorca e Menorca) estão sofrendo com os impactos do turismo, que está afetando fortemente o seu meio ambiente e recursos naturais. Como turistas, devemos sempre lembrar que estamos apenas de passagem e que existem muitos outros seres que dependem do lugar que estamos apenas visitando. Lembre-se de sempre deixar o local como o encontrou. Recolha sempre o seu lixo e nunca destrua nem estresse espécies nativas e paisagens locais.
